External Microphones for the iPod Touch 4

Posted on November 7, 2010 in Articles

Even though the 4th Generation iPod Touch has a microphone built in you may still want to buy an an additional external microphone.

Why would someone need an external microphone for the iPod Touch 4 or an iPhone for that matter?

We will be the first to admit that some of our iTouch mini mics may now be obsolete for the iTouch 4. However, our headphone microphone sets are perfect additions to your new iTouch/iPhone for the following reasons:

  • They allow you to answer your calls, keeping your iPod Touch safe in your pocket
  • When talking on Skype (or any other VoIP program) with  your iTouch’s external mic, you don’t need to leave your screen on. This will save your battery.
  • Having an inline microphone allows you to have conversations and make recordings keeping your hands free.

Great news for customers who have already purchased a mic for their iTouch and are thinking about upgrading to the iPod Touch 4.

For those of you who still don’t have an iTouch microphone browse through our products.
